These vanadinite crystals ring the ridge of this contrasting black matrix, glittering like jewels. They have excellent luster and fine deep red color; they measure to 0.8 cm. The crystals actually wrap around the backside, where there are many more of them than on the display side - but back there, they have a brown coating.
