A superb, gemmy, spear point-shaped, canary-yellow to colorless anglesite crystal from the famous late 1970s-early 80s finds at Touissit, Morocco. We at first considered this to be one of the bleached anglesites (a notorious mineral fraud of the early 1980s), at first glance, that reached the market soon after this major find. Several of us have closely examined this crystal with a loupe, especially the C-axis, and we believe that this is naturally colored anglesite because the color goes through the core, rather than just being on the surface. Also the color is a more pure yellow than the fakes, which tend to be more orangey-yellow. Ex. Dick Jones Collection.
