A single "birds nest" of utterly classic wire gold from this famous 1880's gold rush mine. The style is immediately obvious and beautiful, and nothing else forms like this. It is admittedly delicate, which is why Shields attached it to the bit of wax on the bottom, for handling and display (although you can remove that carefully if desired). A major USA historical classic, and a stunning gold thumbnail!
