LARGE BLADE OF PURPLE-BROWN AXINITE — SHIGAR VALLEY BEAUTY!
Now THIS is a color combination you don’t see every day.
An absolutely gorgeous Axinite from Alchuri, Shigar Valley, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan — showing an incredible mix of deep purple, plum and rich brown tones that completely transform as the light passes through it.
The luster and striations are killer, but it’s that deep saturated color with glowing translucent edges that makes this one hit different.
In hand, the crystal goes from nearly black in the thickest areas to flashes of wine-purple, smoky brown and reddish plum. Just beautiful.
