The world-famous Ojuela Mine has produced, among other things, wide-ranging and world's-best specimens of Adamite of this classic style of rounded growths. One recognizable habit is the fan-like pinwheel, but this outstanding small-cabinet piece takes that curvature one step further, creating an unusually smooth and biological-looking surface. Here, the light apple-green Adamites have seamlessly merged into these fantastic botryoids of lustrous, relatively smooth, crystalline Adamite. The largest of these is an exceptional 4.3 cm across, and the Adamite richly covers the Limonite matrix. Of course, the yellow and green Ojuela Adamites wouldn't be themselves without their incredible, luminous neon-green fluorescence, which practically lights up a dark room. For size, form, color, and literally everything else you could want, this is an OUTSTANDING example of this habit for the great Ojuela Mine Adamites. This may be from the famous pocket that came out in the 1970's of this style, or no later than the early 1980s. From the Martin Zinn collection (sold off in 2003).
