A bright and open pastel green color and a sharp phantom draws the eye to this classic gem crystal of fluorite; and it really is, literally, a gem! The whole crystal is transparent. The style (color, phantom, and clarity together) indicates that it is from this lesser-known mine in Jiangxi, although they are often brought to market in Hunan and simply labelled as Yaogangxian. We have watched these get mislabelled for 20 years as they are sold out of the mineral market which is based in Hunan, and actually this mine should be considered more rare and desirable than YGX! Purchased by Wayne long ago and one of the few fluorites in this collection. It is a boxbuster thumbnail or, more properly, a small miniature in size class.
