This is a surprising, gemmy (transparent to translucent) crystal of scheelite from a highly unusual location for such quality on the species. The crystal is dramatically perched in chlorite-rich matrix, measuring 2 x 1.4 x 1.4 cm. From the IKONS book author Wayne Thompson's personal collection of Miniatures/Thumbnails built with his daughter, Stevia, when she was young. It is a unique specimen obtained in Wayne's longtime dealings with Pakistani minerals since the 1980s. Extremely aesthetic, this makes for a competition-level miniature specimen of scheelite with some real character compared to most. Laszlo Kupi photo.
