A gorgeous, sparkling plate of intense blue Adamite from a one time, small find that seems absolutely unique in the world for the species. The shockingly bright and open color can be seen across a room; and is is likely due to an additional, small concentration of REE elements present that boost the coloration of Cuprian Adamite. These sparkling, really unique pieces came from a single find in late 2014, and have now been definitively analyzed by a University in Thessaloniki. These were initially thought to be aluminum-enhanced, but the results are otherwise. The associated white mineral, not analyzed, appears to be Smithsonite, and it provides a beautiful complement to the scintillating, turquoise-blue Adamite. Simply a wonderful and aesthetic, large, small-cabinet specimen from a significant private collection built in Greece.
