This thumbnail specimen of mimetite is particularly elegant, with pleasing yellow-sunflower color and a beautiful luster. We see this style in pockets from the 1960s and into the 1970s as single crystals, but the extra sidecar really makes this special, and takes the specimen to the next level. These crystals are usually about 1 to 1.5 cm but this is larger - a 2 cm terminated crystal. it is also complete, all around! From the thumbnail collection of well known miner, dealer, and gemcutter Rick Kennedy.
