Intriguing mineral combination with outstanding architectural geometry exhibiting numerous well-formed, opaque, matte-luster, white Quartz crystals with hints of light green coloration contrasted with translucent, glassy, apple-green Demantoid garnets. The radiating Quartz sprays, up to 3.6 cm tall, are clustered into groups as wide as 1.3 cm with textured faces and a microcrystalline surface sheen. The specimen hosts numerous Demantoid crystals that appear randomly across the piece with individual crystals, up to 0.5 cm, attached to the Quartz. The lustrous, gemmy, and rich green color highlights this gorgeous three-dimensional specimen that self stands both horizontally and vertically. This is unique in our experience, and Bill obtained it directly from noted Madagascar specialist (who owns these mines), Dr. Federico Pezzotta. The near-pristine piece is a superb example of this uncommon combination of well-defined Quartz crystals and Andradite variety Demantoid from the Antetezambato Mine. Ex. William (Bill) Larson Quartz Collection. This collection was built since the 1980s and on exhibit for decades in his jewelry and mineral store in Fallbrook, California.
