Elegant form and balance on this lovely radiating spray of green Prase Quartz from Greece: one of Europe's truly classic mineral finds. Prase gets its unique looking green color from inclusions of Actinolite. The two dominant center crystals exhibiting parallel growth are up to 3.5 cm tall and 4 mm at their widest point. The elongated crystals have textured prismatic faces providing a satin luster and a tapered growth habit that do not show defined rhombohedral faces as is usual for Prase from Serifos Island. The specimen is in excellent condition with all crystals complete. A wonderful double-sided display having a captivating architectural style for this delicate and sophisticated looking Prase specimen. Ex. William (Bill) Larson Quartz Collection. This collection was built since the 1980s and on exhibit for decades in his jewelry and mineral store in Fallbrook, California. A particularly aesthetic example in this size range!
