An American classic that is unique in the world of Quartz: here showing off as a glistening chain of transparent glassy Quartz crystals, classically known as Herkimer Diamonds, exhibiting the famous doubly-terminated habit with a wonderful pseudo “diamond-like” luster and sparkle. The interlocking chain consists of four larger Quartz crystals, largest measuring up to 2.9 cm tall and 1.6 cm wide, and four smaller crystals. The ultra sharp forms having a DT style with complete terminations and that water-clear transparency make these Herkimer Diamond specimens a favorite among collectors. The piece is in good condition with only a few minor edge and termination nicks. One should assume these are repaired or stabilized, although this looks like maybe it is not (it is nearly impossible to say for sure on old examples). An overall appealing strand of Quartz crystals showing the diamond-like quality and brilliance of these little jewels. Ex. William (Bill) Larson Quartz Collection. This collection was built since the 1980s and on exhibit for decades in his jewelry and mineral store in Fallbrook, California.
