Wulfenite is a highly collectible mineral, one which tends to hook collectors very early on in their journey, and which many can never shake off. Of all the famous Wulfenite localities in the world, Red Cloud mine in La Paz County, Arizona is perhaps the one which most collectors can relate to. Defined by its stunning red tabular crystals, the finds of the 1970s and 1980s elevated the locality to legendary status amongst a plethora of yellow Wulfenite occurrences in Arizona and Mexico. There have been a few newer finds of tabular red Wulfenite, such as those in China, but Red Cloud mine specimens still hold a respect like no other. This magnificent cabinet-sized display specimen features several prominent orange-red tabular crystals with their classic bevelled-edge. The crystals here reach 8 mm on edge, but right in the centre is a twinned crystal reaching 1.3 cm across (across the two alligned crystals). It displays extremely well and is in exceptional condition.
