Vanadinite on Baryte
Unknown Owner
A dense cream-white massive Baryte matrix plays host to a fine array of upstanding glossy cherry-red platy hexagonal Vanadinite crystals, individually reaching 7 mm across. These crystals are all extremely well-formed and all appear to be free from damage. Smaller, millimetre-sized Vanadinite crystals are dispersed on the matrix between the larger crystals but all stand out nicely against the white background. This lovely cabinet-sized specimen is from the world famous Mibladen Mining District in Morocco, from where the world's finest Vanadinite specimens came. Ex Nick Hawes collection.
