There is no disputing the fact that Morocco has produced a huge quantity of Vanadinite specimens during the past two decades but there is a very big difference in quality across volume, with most damaged and never making the grade. This cabinet-sized thin plate of sandy rock matrix is liberally covered in glossy orange-red squat hexagonal prisms of Vanadinite, some with the development of bevelled edges. The largest crystal is 8 mm across, but the vast majority are in the 2 to 3 mm range but glisten brightly. With appropriate support this specimen displays very nicely upright. Pre-2017 material.
