Crystal ClassicsFeatured
Tucson, Arizona, USAThe combination of sulphur-yellow Mimetite alongside Smithsonite is unusual, but is a rare classic from the famous Tsumeb mine in Namibia. This small cabinet-sized specimen presents this association very well, and with quite unusual Smithsonite crystals, forming cream coloured flattish stacked rhombs, but with some reddish inclusions producing nice colour zoning. The brightly coloured Mimetite is concentrated down one edge of the sample as small elongated needle-like crystals aggregated in groups. Ex Weyand Collection.
