Collector’s EdgeFeatured
A classic Tennessee combo! Primo color and large crystal size make this an outstanding Elmwood calcite. Considered by many to be the world’s best examples of the species, calcite crystals from the Elmwood mine complex (actually 3 mines – Elmwood, Gordonsville, and Cumberland) are treasured by collectors around the world for their vibrant color and often large size. This specimen features a large cluster of scalenohedral crystals with very minimal damage to the tips and rich golden-yellow color. The crystals are aesthetically placed in a sphalerite crystal matrix. A choice large Elmwood calcite for the discerning collector. Photo by Invenio Fine Minerals
