Unlike many erythrite specimens, this piece shows a great horizon with rows of sharp crystals all pointing up and drawing the eye. Sharp crystals of strong magenta-colored erythrite, with strong metallic luster, stand straight up for an impressive display piece, of this rare cobalt species. The specimen is in unusually good condition without the usual damages one often sees on larger or more exposed specimens of the species (it is a soft mineral, after all). Crystals to 2 cm, unusually robust, and unusually oriented atop a slim matrix, make this a very aesthetic and displayable piece in the size range, when most are simply jumbled messes. From a small pocket in early 2025.
