Tucson, Arizona, USAThe Mammoth-Saint Anthony mine at Tiger, Arizona is a remarkable mineral deposit, renowned for its complex geochemistry resulting in 11 new species having been described from there. The Mohawk mine, from where this specimen comes, is a smaller part of the greater Mammoth-Saint Anthony mine. Miniature in size, this piece is actually extremely rich in finely crystallized bright orange-yellow Mimetite, but has also got several larger, but fractured, orange Wulfenite crystals embedded within the Mimetite too. These Wulfenite crystal reach up to 1 cm on edge. A colourful and rich specimen of lead secondary species from the rarely mentioned Mohawk mine section of Mammoth-Saint Anthony mine.
