Tucson, Arizona, USAThis is a very distinctive assemblage, or combination, of species, even by Tsumeb's standards. Brown, burnt-toffee coloured resinous shallow bipyramidal Wulfenite crystals, the largest reaching 6 mm on edge are liberally scattered across the uneven, black, pumice-like, weathered grey metallic sulphide matrix. However, unlike pumice, the density of this matrix unmasks its metallic constituents. Another clue is provided by bright pale turquoise-blue finely crystallized coatings of Serpierite/Devilline. The Wulfenite crystals are extremely well-formed and a pleasure to view, with just a few showing slight chipping to their corners, which is extremely common for this fragile species. Ex Kessler Collection, the small typed accompanying label records "Wulfenit Serpierit/Devellin EDX Tsumeb Mine". It is unclear which of these species, or if all, have been analysed by SEM energy dispersive X-ray analysis (EDX).
