Here we have an impressively lustrous twinned calcite from the famed Elmwood Mine. The color saturation is impressively grading from a honey yellow into orange at the tips of the crystals. The terminations are impressively immaculate but I do note 2 tips on the lower right with 1 mm sized dings. The left hand side of the specimen near the base features two barite balls that are coated in light purple fluorite cubes. The bottom of the specimen is contacted where the crystal was removed from the matrix as is so common in these massive pockets. The mine is currently shut and future commercial production and future specimen production remain uncertain.
