As I have said with one other tremolite crystal in my life, I think - in this same specimen update by chance - this is not generally a sexy and beautiful species that I care a lot about. But this specimen, it just has an electrical color and surface that is almost metallic, and it demands eye attention. It could stand with tourmalines, and the hot neon green of this might draw your eye more than a much more expensive tourmaline next to it. It is unusually robust, with a broad termination the likes of which we never see on this rockforming mineral species. 41 grams. From the collection of the late Paul Stahl. Paul was a tremendously knowledgeable collector who laser-focus and specialized in ultimate miniature-sized examples of large crystals of rare species. His collection was, piece for piece, one of the finest assembled for such rare species of this size and aesthetic quality, numbering at its height over 1200 pieces.
