This cabinet-sized Tsumeb Calcite is full of unique character. Beneath a bed of large, bladed, shallow-angled rhombic colourless to grey-white Calcite crystals lies a thin coating of dark green Mottramite on matrix. The Calcite crystals are really distinctive in their shape, but also with a degree of internal zonation in colour, perhaps in part from the influence of the Mottramite. The overall form of the specimen is quite rounded, giving it a nicely balanced shape, and the Calcite crystals are in extremely fine condition. Ex Hettrich Collection.
