A gem, transparent crystal of rhodonite showing the most saturated, intense cherry red color you can ask for. This comes from amazing finds at an ancient locality in Brazil, that shocked the mineral world when they came out. Briefly, perhaps more around 2012-16, many specimens were available - but they have dried up and large pockets have not been found since that time. For sheer size and color impact, these rank right up there with Sweet Home rhodochrosites for drawing an eye to a shelf. This fine miniature was in the Bill Larson collection. It is 38 grams, and complete all around.
