This has to be one of the most iconic gold thumbnails around, and was a key piece in the Schauss thumbnail collection. The photo speaks for itself, as does the piece. In a world with so many normal gold crystals, and amidst this Moroccan find with so many straight crystals that are amazing but all look more or less the same, this stands out. It was, for my taste, the best thumbnail I recall coming out when these came to market. Recently featured in the book, Refined Elegance (Mineralogical Record, Nov. 2022) on page 87.
