Lustrous crystallized stilbite spread attractively across the top of matrix from the Faroe Islands, in great condition. The specimen features well formed sheaf like crystals with bright pearly luster and pleasing symmetry, creating an elegant display across the contrasting host rock. Stilbite is a zeolite mineral that commonly forms in basalt cavities, and the Faroe Islands are a classic North Atlantic locality known for producing fine zeolite specimens from their extensive basalt flows. Specimens from this remote volcanic archipelago are valued for their aesthetic crystal groupings and distinctive geographic provenance.
