A very unique and highly aesthetic specimen of calcite (!!) and epidote from the world-famous Green Monster Mountain in Alaska. This locality has been known worldwide since the early 1900s for producing North America’s finest epidote crystals. It is also notable for Japan Law quartz twins. Calcite has only been reported from a handful of pockets since the locality was first mined. This specimen features a fantastic scalenohedral white/golden calcite with a DT epidote. Philly Academy No. 20106. Unfortunately the original tags for this specimen have been lost.
