A textbook example of scheelite from this classic 20th century locality – the Tae Hwa Mine in South Korea. Before the modern Chinese finds, these were considered to be the world’s best. This special piece was illustrated on page 5 of the 1979 publication, “Tungsten: Sources, Metallurgy, Properties, and Applications” by Stephen W. H. Yih, Chun T. Wang. Note that the quartz crystal is damaged, as seen.
