This very pure large display Calcite specimen from Tsumeb mine is extremely gemmy, and features supremely large rhombic crystals, some reaching 5 cm in length. Much of the appeal here comes from its pale pink sherry tones and excellent transparency, making the crystals very glassy and with fine internal flashes of brightness. The crystals are in superb condition with no obvious signs of damage. Coming as it does from the famous Weyand collection at Tsumeb it almost certainly dates back many decades and is a remarkable survivor.
