Calcite with Dioptase

It is actually quite rare at Tsumeb mine to find this specific combination of large (above 1 cm on edge), well-formed, white to cream-coloured rhombic Calcite crystals studded with small contrasting bright emerald-green Dioptase crystals. This very large miniature to small cabinet specimen presents it really well and although there is some minor abrasion to some of the edges of the Calcite rhombs this still makes for a fine display piece. Almost the whole specimen is a bed of Calcite crystals, the layer reaching 3 cm thick in places. Ex Weyand collection.
