Here is a wonderfully gemmy calcite crystal from the Meikle Mine. The piece has great luster and is undamaged outside of a contact on the back side. This particular specimen was collected by Casey Jones when he held the commercial mineral specimen collecting contract with the mine. This Meikle mine is now a part of the Goldstrike Mine which is a joint operation between Barrick and Newmont. This massive mine combines the Betze-Post open-pit with the Meikle and the Rodeo underground mines. A wonderful specimen from an important American mining locality. From the Casey Jones collection.
