Pale yellow lustrous translucent crystals of calcite measuring to 4.0 cm in size across the top of a chert matrix. All of the prominent crystals are in good condition. This would have been collected in the 1960s. Typical of calcite specimens from this mining district during that time, this has been lightly acid dipped to bring out the luster.
