Tucson, Arizona, USALarge thumbnail in size, this Mimetite specimen is actually very large for a Mimetite crystal, or crystals. The main crystal is 2.5 cm in length and a well-formed hexagonal prism with a sloping distorted modified pyramidal termination. A second, smaller, but nicely terminated Mimetite crystal extends across the base of the other at about 30 degrees. Both crystals are burnt orange in colour but with a dull lustre their potential value is decreased, otherwise this could be a much more expensive large thumbnail specimen. Nevertheless, a very large Mimetite crystal. Ex John Schneider collection, no. 1431.
