Tucson, Arizona, USAThe famous Corocoro copper mining area in Pacajes Province, La Paz Department, Bolivia is best known for its unique pseudomorphs of Native Copper after Aragonite crystals. So unusual and so popular they became, other forms of Native Copper from Corocoro tended to get overlooked. One of these forms is flattened dendritic Native Copper and this fine miniature specimen is a really nice example of this. Unusually, for dendritic Native Copper, the dendrites are actually sharp, but flattened crystals, with well-defined straight outer edges. This is a very characterful Bolivian Native Copper.
