A superb miniature featuring gorgeous, foil-bright crystals of gold of several habits. Whether shown vertically or horizontally, this is a brilliantly colorful miniature with good balance and a rich crystallization. With crystals to 1 cm and larger clusters, all intact, pristine, and complete all around, this piece shows off several gold crystal habits. The more you look, the more riveting it appears. The quality is actually so good that it is extremely atypical for Eagles Nest and more comparable to old finds at Mockingbird Mine, known for its more robust style. It is a stunning, brilliantly sparkling gold from the largest modern crystallized gold find at the famous Eagle's Nest Mine. This spectacular pocket was hit on Valentine's Day of 2024 and took nearly a year to fully extract and prepare specimens. While the pocket produced a number of "killers" of high value, it was notable for the consistent quality spread across price ranges, as reflected in these smaller specimens offered at a relatively affordable price range for fine crystallized California gold.
