This fine rich miniature-sized rounded pebble of Native Gold in vein Quartz comes from Honduras in Central America. Despite a rich mining heritage going back centuries it is extremely rare to see a mineral specimen from there. This Native Gold is not just a representative specimen from the country, but a really lovely showy waterworn Native Gold with areas of pure gold extending to 1.3 x 0.3 cm and lots of visible Native Gold present throughout. It comes accompanied by a handwritten “Sons of Emile Deyrolle” dealer label from Paris, dating it to post 1896. The whole specimens weighs 54 grams.
