The Ariège River in Midi-Pyrénées in south-west France is the source of the alluvial Native Gold nuggets stored in this small glass bottle/phial. The nuggets are small - just a few mm in length - but easily visible and under magnification can be seen to contain tiny areas of Quartz inclusions. This is a less well-known European locality for Native Gold and is probably of interest to the Gold enthusiast. The total weight of contents of this phial is 2 grams. Ex Siber and Siber collection.
