Deeply nestled into the top of this specimen is a single, massive, lustrous cube of Galena that is accented with dozens of sharply-formed Calcite scalenohedrons. The Galena is complete all around with a finely detailed surface texture and minutely stepped pattern; a small handful of pale yellow Calcite crystals are formed atop the Galena, along with a small spot of blue-purple iridescence, give an immediate contrast to the lead mineral's characteristic metallic grey color. The matrix is lightly covered in a transparent siliceous druze and a dusting of brassy-yellow, iridescent Chalcopyrite crystals. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
