Completely covering the front side of the specimen like a colorful, crystalline ridge are dozens of extremely attractive Baryte crystals that are presented on a translucent matrix of clustered Calcite blades. Each of the Baryte crystals are complete all around with a sharp tabular shape, strong glassy luster, and a transparency that deepens the Baryte's golden-yellow color; the largest of these crystals is presented at the top of the specimen, reaching an impressive 8.7 centimeters across. The underlying Calcite matrix acts as an excellently pedestal to the Baryte as its light grey color and overall lack of luster complements the more colorful sulphate crystals. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
