Goethite
Incredibly, both the top and underside of this piece looks like a three-dimensional, mountainous landscape or a set of ancient ruins that have been pulled straight from the classic fantasy genre. Each side is dominated by an incredibly aesthetic, unusual assortment of Goethite stalactites that reach out from nothing more than a thin, platy Goethite matrix. Most of the Goethite has a typical, deeper reddish-brown color that is nicely contrasted by scattered regions of yellow, orange, and green, which have a subtle velvety texture and botryoidal shape. Whether you are an avid collector of Goethite or just like larger cabinet-sized pieces, this is an excellent example that is unique in comparison to the many other Goethite specimens on the market.
