Calcite is the ubiquitous mineral of the Tsumeb Mine, more so than any of the azurites, dioptases, and all of the showy copper minerals that one typically thinks of when the Tsumeb Mine is referenced. The quality of Tsumeb Calcite, lest we forget, is extremely fine, and in cases like this, rhombohedrons can get to impressive sizes while still retaining their proper euhedral form. In this specimen we have plenty of very sharp, very defined crystals of Calcite that are pure white in regular daylight, but under a good shortwave UV light they turn into a remarkably neon pink. This specimen comes with a custom acrylic base.
