A massive and extremely well-formed example of Aragonite from the famous Ojuela Mine. Most of the specimen is a brilliant white color and composed of nicely rounded, coral-like arrangements of Aragonite. While there are a few groups of thin Aragonite sprays around the specimen, the two most distinguishable sprays are presented at the top of the specimen, with attractive warm brown staining. Under a strong shortwave UV light, a large number of the Aragonite will fluoresce a bright lime green along the tips of the crystals. This specimen found its way into Dan's illustrious collection in January of 1967 when he purchased it from a street dealer in Mapimí. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
