Interconnecting groups of densely stacked Calcite blades branch off one another in every direction, giving the piece a very sculptural and three-dimensional display highlighted with spacious alcoves and plenty of negative space. Most of the Calcite has a light yellow-tan color with a moderate luster, pleasantly contrasting the associated translucent, white, flattened Calcite rhombohedrons that are perched across the edges of the larger clusters. While the Nikolaevskiy Mine is best known for its outstanding sulphides, this spectacular specimen stands out as an exceptional example for these world-class Calcite specimens. This piece comes with a custom acrylic base.
