Prior to the seemingly endless flow of Vanadinite from Morocco, the Old Yuma mine just outside Tucson in Arizona was one of the world's premier sources of fine specimens and certainly the leading contender within the USA. What is lovely about this large miniature specimen is the sumptuous resinous lustre and rich burnt-orange brown colour of the well-defined hexagonal prisms of Vanadinite richly scattered across matrix. These crystals reach 4 mm in length.
