A classic and very showy combination specimen from the famous Wessels Mine of a large coverage of pink, botryoidal-like Kutnohorite crystals with white to pale pink blades of Manganoan Calcite. There are dozens of almost cauliflower-like Kutnohorite that has "stalks" internal to the piece that can be seen from the side and the "florets" are all aggregated at the top of the piece resulting in a pink, hummocky surface with a glistening finish across the top. There is some gray highlighting on some of the knobs or botryoids. There are clusters of platy, white Manganoan Calcite at one end. The entire piece fluoresces a bright neon red-orange with short wave UV! It's an attractive combination specimen. 1980s classic material, hard to find in such size and condition. Part of an educational set, with these additional items: Goethite (SYP25-17a) and Goethite ps. Kutnohorite (SYP25-17b).
