Be they fan-like or prismatic in habit, Tsumeb's specimens of Zincolivenite rank among the finest known. This impactful (on first look) thumbnail is comprised of three crystals, each with a rich, deep-green color and excellent luster. The two main crystals are prismatic and slender, with just a hint of subtle curvature. The third crystal is a small, cross-cutting sidecar that adds a delicate look as it seemingly floats high up the piece. It looks great from a distance but sadly the termination is broken or contacted, so the price is very much reduced. Still, if you tilt it back for display, that cannot be seen. As is, this would be a distinctive crystal, but backlight the crystals just right and they will glow a emerald green. You just have no idea how gemmy/translucent these deep-green crystals really are, and it is quite the pleasant surprise. Dr. Erika Pohl-Ströher - 36964.
