Příbram District in the Central Bohemian Region, Czech Republic is a famous historic mining area dating back over a Millennia. This pretty Goethite specimen is the velvety variety, carpeting this small cabinet specimen in metallic, orange-brown moss-like botryoidal growths. This habit is known from Příbram District but is certainly not seen very often in display quality specimens. This one is in exceptional condition, as these velvety crusts can be prone to abrasion, or attracting dust, but this one is a remarkable survivor. An extremely fine Goethite.
