From the Smale collection, this is a classic bournonite specimen with a beautiful crystal on matrix from finds of the 1990s. A sharp miniature featuring a robust bournonite crystal 2.8 cm across, 2 cm tall, with a mesmerizing and complex shape and pattern atop. It is highly lustrous, in a way hard to capture with photos! This was a choice example long held (nearly two decades) in Steve Smale's suite of rare species miniatures. Steve bought much YGX material at the time, as he was based in Hong Kong in the early 2000s. He then sold/traded them to the rest of us. This miniature, he kept for nearly 2 decades in his Chinese miniatures suites.
