From finds circa 2000, this is a fine miniature of the species olmiite, once known only as microcrystals and then found in quantity in the Kalahari for just a few short years. The specimen has a centered cluster, 3.5 cm across, with balls to 2 cm. This was a choice example long held (nearly two decades) in Steve Smale's suite of rare species miniatures. Fluorescent - glows red in UV.
