Mimetite specimens from Tsumeb mine are always sought after, but it is rare that you seen such large, pure, crystallized aggregates as this. Small cabinet in size, the richness of this Mimetite specimen is given away by its density. Apart from a few small dustings of green Malachite that add a nice contrast in colour, this specimen is entirely orange, yellow and cream coloured Mimetite, occurring as beautiful divergent floret-like aggregates reaching 3 cm in length. Dull internally, the outer crystal faces of Mimetite are resinous, glossy and bright. There are a few damaged tips to the Mimetite crystals, but this requires careful inspection. It is still a significant Tsumeb Mimetite specimen, with much appeal, and would enhance even a higher end Tsumeb collection. An extremely graceful Mimetite.
